poofy pants!

hmmm....

so i was sitting at my schools board meeting last night (i was being recognized for music excellence this year) and i noticed this person in front of me...
now from behind they had blondish hair tied in a pink elastic, a baby blue polo, and khaki pants on.
but these werent just any khaki pants....they were POOFY pants.
seriously, this person could have just broken into the hammer dance and no one would have thought anything of it.

so naturally i thought it was a woman....
until it turned and i saw its BEARD!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was very frightened indeed.

tomorrow night im going to this local awards show.
its kinda like the tonys only for local high school musicals.
and i was nominated for best actress, duet , and small group...quite an honor.

so im wearing this really pretty dress and i also get to perform there to.

first of all...
wouldnt that get annoying and scratchy after awhile?
and i mean who really needs a mouse COMPLETELY covered in fake knockoff diamonds?
hmm...something to ponder about.

mmm....i love to munch on sundried tomatoes, roasted red pepper and kalamata olives...

im still a bit tired from the whole"prom" thing.
and while at first it seems somewhat...overdone?
it really was....quite amazing.

i got the dress at an itty-bitty nearby bridal shop.

so the boy came over and we took pictures in my expansive woodland.
boy was scared because he said woodland creatures would attack him??
sure like a squirrels gonna hurt some six foot four inches guy?
i think not!


i went and got my hair and makeup done at this near by spa in the morning....let me tell you- was not pleased.

i had to fix a whole bunch of stuff when i got home.
fortunately all my hair took to fix was my mom and her curling iron :)

but overall, the actual prom was fun
ok so the food kinda sucked, it happens.
oh and another plus, i actually got the boy the dance a majority of the time.
:)

afterwards, we went to the boy's friends house and went in the hotttt tub.
i was uber excited because i was able to wear my new swimsuit.
its black and a bandeau-ish top.
surprisingly, i got at old navy and i actually like it alot.

quite comfy also.
so it was funfunfun.
:)

i can barely type my acrylic nails are so long.

so its that that lovely time of year again.

its this time i year that i realize that the actual "prom" part doesnt mean as much to me as the getting dressed up part is. finally a time when i can get away with being obscenely formal without the "why are you so dresses up" comments.
sweet relief.
now my dress this year isnt a punky heatherette concoction


or a classic Chanel gown


but actually a sea foam green colored beaded gown.
very fairy princess, not something id usually choose.
but its very pretty and it makes me feel very...magical!
hehe this is all very cliche but im ok with that right now.

did i mention how my hideous fake nails are?
well im usually extremely opposed to fake nails, opting for shorter, easily managed nails (not to mention it helps when playing the cello!!) but since i had a gift card for a nail salon (run by a fleet of kindly, asian woman) i went for it. well...now im sitting here having to retype every third word because these extra extremities attached to my fingers make it difficult to hit little buttons. i just want to rip then off.....but i have a feeling that will cause a good amount of pain.

i wore a very lovely, quirky headband to day....but it resulted in a not so lovely headache.
