its this time i year that i realize that the actual "prom" part doesnt mean as much to me as the getting dressed up part is. finally a time when i can get away with being obscenely formal without the "why are you so dresses up" comments.
sweet relief.
now my dress this year isnt a punky heatherette concoction
or a classic Chanel gown
but actually a sea foam green colored beaded gown.
very fairy princess, not something id usually choose.
but its very pretty and it makes me feel very...magical!
hehe this is all very cliche but im ok with that right now.
did i mention how my hideous fake nails are?
well im usually extremely opposed to fake nails, opting for shorter, easily managed nails (not to mention it helps when playing the cello!!) but since i had a gift card for a nail salon (run by a fleet of kindly, asian woman) i went for it. well...now im sitting here having to retype every third word because these extra extremities attached to my fingers make it difficult to hit little buttons. i just want to rip then off.....but i have a feeling that will cause a good amount of pain.
i wore a very lovely, quirky headband to day....but it resulted in a not so lovely headache.

As above, I want to see the green dress! Prom...I never had one here in Italy!
I've never had fake nails before, I too like having shorter nails.
